Exhibited at Stride Gallery +15 Window
The site-specific installation explores questions of spirituality and space. There is a dialogue between light and shadow, soft sculptural forms and projected imagery. The intimate cave environment spans the gallery space in soft undulating hills and valleys. Stalactites and stalagmites jut out from the floor and ceiling meeting in almost sexual tension. The work examines ideas of spirituality and symbolism in light of shamanistic traditions. The sculptural landscape provided a platform for a looped projected animation during the public reception.
